Last February of 2011 Google change their algorithms again that affected a lot of big website names including many article directories.

Here are some recommendations to help with stick rates:

  • Create engaging copy that has value to the reader
  • Bold your headlines and just don’t make them the keyword; make them relevant and interesting to read
  • Include illustrations or charts with technical details or details that a reader will spend time looking at
  • Add images that tell a story that the visitor will finding engaging and think about
  • Add bullet points. Readers will scan a page and land on the bullet points and read them in detail to find out if this is a site they want to stay on

Google is planning to significantly revamp the video site to “compete with broadcast and cable television,” the Wall Street Journal reports, citing “people familiar with the matter.”

The overhaul would include new channels based on topics such as sports and arts. Some channels will feature “several hours of professionally produced original programming a week,” reads the report.

Google’s reported plans surface as Web services such as YouTube, Hulu and Netflix have prompted cable television subscribers to trim their services or even pull the plug.

For me this is inevitable because right now I spend more time on my laptop and surfing the net than watching TV. I don’t mind this change at all, no more cable bills just internet bills.

If you don’t know how to use vim you can change it to gedit

gedit /etc/yum.repos.d/chromium.repo

Copy this line of code and paste it in the chromium.repo and click save

For 32-bit user

For 64-bit user
