Yesterday I was not able to connect to Paypal and I was hoping that it was just internet connection issues. I asked few of my friends that are using Paypal and they mentioned they were having issues opening Paypal in different browsers the other day as well but yesterday they said Paypal is back. So I checked Paypal on my end and i’m still having issues opening it so I just thought that it would be back again today.

So I just checked Paypal today and still having issues opening the site and i’m a little desperate to get some cash withdrawn to use for the holidays. And I found a solution I think it has something to do with my isp’s DNS I really can’t provide a clear explanation why but probably they are doing maintenance or something but this is a workaround of the issue

So here is the solution

open Control Panel and View network connections

after that hit Properties and locate Internet Protocol Version 4 and select Properties again

you will probably see something like this below, all you need to do is select Use the following DNS server addresses: option and then add 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

After that checked Paypal and viola it is back, though i’m not sure if this is safe so if you don’t need to use paypal today or you are willing to wait for the issues to be fixed then I suggest you just wait, but for me my plan is right after i finish my transaction I will probably hit the Obtain DNS server address automatically back on.

Anyway hope this helps
